Dundrum Counselling MIACP is provided by Bernard McGuinness MIACP delivering premium mental health services, serving the local communities of Dundrum, Ballinteer, Sandyford, Stepaside, Clonskeagh, Rathfarnham, and Stillorgan.

I am a therapist who believes completely in the power of counselling. I believe that all persons have the ability within themselves to improve their lives beyond what they are currently experiencing. I believe that many people are truly unaware of their own power, their own strength, and their own resources when it comes to addressing the pressures their own life presents.

I believe in the uniqueness of the individual. I believe that there is no one way to meet all people. I believe that each person has their own unique pattern, their own unique “way of being”. I believe that it is the client's “way of being” that becomes the key factor in helping myself and the client determine and shape the therapeutic experience.

I believe therapy can be tailored specifically to the individual and it can be shaped to be unique to the experience and requirements of the individual. This is the real benefit of the Integrative approach. A therapeutic approach that shapes to match, then meet, the needs of each individual.

It is not always easy facing up to life’s challenges. Counselling provides a safe space that allows us to become ourselves, in comfort and in safety, perhaps uncovering a self-belief that was previously hidden, maybe previously unknown, a belief in ourselves that can then be carried out into the rest of our lives.

Dundrum Counselling MIACP is a confidential service for private clients. The service is for adults only, +18’s, and is not bound by any other restrictions on Gender, Age, or issue type. All are welcome.

Counselling and Psychotherapy are proven methods for dealing with these issues and sometimes, just making the first call, can be the first step to a genuine road to recovery and a life unbound by negative feelings and behaviours.
